Fowler is thrilled to get a name check in the local paper following the successful raid by the Gasforth Police Force on the home of the notorious drugs dealer Harry the Spike.

Fly On The Wall

A BBC camera crew come to Gasforth Police Station to make a “fly on the wall” documentary about the reality of policing.  Fowler is initially unsure about the ethics of such a programme .

A plumbing crisis at the station means the women have to share the men's locker room.

Alternative Culture

As in many inner cities, Gasforth has a problem with drugs.  Ol Grim plans a raid on a rave at the old gasworks the following night to look for E, LSD and any number of highly dangerous letters.

Grim looks forward to tackling some major league hooligans.

Come On You Blues

Gasforth’s finest turn out in force to police a football game at the local ground. Goody prefers Gladiators and plans one day to become one under the pseudonym “Love Muscle”.

Gasforth's new bypass causes headaches for Fowler when Patricia joins the protestors.

Road Rage

Gasforth is to have a new bypass and Patricia decides to spend her fortnight’s leave from the force as a member of the travelling tribe of road protestors known as the Dongas under the alias “Squirrel Baggins”.

Green Eyed Monster

The date has been set for the promotion review board and Grim is like a coiled spring.  Fowler is hoping that this year might be his turn, but Grim burst hi bubble.  “Promotion Board is looking for solid, steady, dependable blokes,” he tells Fowler.
