Nana is visiting for Sunday lunch. Mary arrives with her wedding dress and the men are banished to the kitchen while the women make alterations to the dress.

It's Jim's birthday, and Barbara holds a surprise birthday party.

Dad's Birthday

It's Jims birthday and Barbara holds a surprise birthday party. Denise isn't feeling too well and Antony's got a black eye. Cheryl pops round and drops off Denise's new leather jacket, Cheryl isn't too impressed, as hers doesn’t fit her.

The Royle household are asleep but are awakened by Denise and Dave.

The Royle household are asleep but are awakened by Denise and Dave when they come in from the pub rowing over Beverley Macca.

The big day has arrived, Denise and Dave are getting married.

Wedding Day

Denise is getting dressed for her wedding. Jim, Twiggy and Dave arrive from pub and pretend that Dave has had too much to drink.

Denise announces her pregnancy, so the Royles have a lot to celebrate.

Pregnancy

Denise announces that she is pregnant and the neighbours come round to celebrate.

Nana, Twiggy, Denise and Dave are at the Royle household for Sunday dinner.

Antony returns from an evening out with his new girlfriend, Emma.

Nana's Coming to Stay

Barbara and Jim argue about watching 'Changing Rooms'. Denise and Dave visit having just been to an antenatal class. Antony returns from an evening out with his new girlfriend Emma and the rest of the family wind him up.

Nana is asleep on the sofa after her cataract operation.

Nana Comes to Stay

Nana is asleep on the sofa, having had a cataract operation. Barbara and Denise are in the kitchen with Cheryl, looking at a baby catalogue. Dave and Jim conspire to have a beer.

Barbara Royle is upset. Jim thinks it's the menopause.

Barbara Finally Has Enough

Barbara is upset and storms out of the house. Denise, Dave and Jim watch Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. To everyone's surprise, Jim makes a cup of tea.

Barbara and Jim throw a party buffet for Antony's 18th birthday.

It's Christmas Day at the Royle Family household and Denise is heavily pregnant.

It's Christmas Day at the Royle Family household.  The family sit around the front room watching telly.  Denise is heavily pregnant.  Dave takes Nana home and Denise's waters break and she is taken to hospital.

Denise and Dave come round after a night out and are feeling a little worse for wear.

Denise and Dave come round after a night out and are feeling a little worse for ware.  While Antony is upstairs tending to baby David the rest of the Royle family sneak out of the house and go to the pub!

Jim and Twiggy are stripping the paper in the front room in preparation for baby David's christening.  Barbara returns from doing the shopping.

Nana and Barbara have just returned from Elsie's funeral.

Nana and Barbara have just returmed from elsie's funeral.  Nana is very upset, Jim has no sympathy for her.  Cheryl and Denise return from shopping in the precinct.

Christening

It's baby David's christening party. A sing-song to New York, New York is interrupted by Barbara. Antony has an announcement to make.
