It's Jims birthday and Barbara holds a surprise birthday party. Denise isn't feeling too well and Antony's got a black eye. Cheryl pops round and drops off Denise's new leather jacket, Cheryl isn't too impressed, as hers doesn’t fit her.

Nana is asleep on the sofa, having had a cataract operation. Barbara and Denise are in the kitchen with Cheryl, looking at a baby catalogue. Dave and Jim conspire to have a beer.

Barbara Royle is upset. Jim thinks it's the menopause.

Barbara Finally Has Enough

Barbara is upset and storms out of the house. Denise, Dave and Jim watch Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. To everyone's surprise, Jim makes a cup of tea.

It's Christmas Day at the Royle Family household and Denise is heavily pregnant.
