Rachel Nickell: The murder that shocked the nation
In July 1992, 23-year-old mother Rachel Nickell was savagely murdered in broad daylight on Wimbledon Common in front of her infant son - a murder that left the nation shocked and appalled. Over 25 years have passed, but Rachel’s murder is a crime that has stuck in the mind of journalist Fiona Bruce ever since.
Whilst reinvestigating the crime for a new documentary, Fiona met the people whose lives and careers have been affected by her murder - including the injustice suffered by Colin Stagg, who was charged and acquitted of Rachel’s murder.
Fiona joins us alongside the man who defended Colin, Jim Sturman QC.
