We meet the unofficial village mayor of Cockington, Patrick the Pony!
Four years old and standing just over 2ft tall at the shoulder, miniature Shetland 'therapy pony' Patrick is the unofficial village mayor of Cockington, Devon. After being inaugurated at local pub, The Drum Inn last month - neigh-sayers have now barred Patrick from its garden over planning permission rows.
Villagers have since blasted the local council after the pint-loving pony, who even had his own grazing pen at the pub, was banned. We’re joined by Patrick, alongside his owner Kirk Petrakis from their home in Torquay, to find out why they think the ban is a load of pony.
