The recalled pet food linked to hundreds of cat deaths
A number of cat food products sold by Sainsbury's, Pets At Home and Amazon have been urgently recalled, over fears they could cause serious illness and death in cats if eaten. It follows more than 278 cases since April of the rare, and often fatal, condition feline pancytopenia - which typically only presents one case in the UK each year.Today we’re joined by cat owner Vicky Winchester, who led the campaign to get the products recalled after her kitten almost died of the deadly disease. We’ll also be joined by our vet Dr Scott Miller, who will be sharing his advice.
Which cat food has been recalled?
Applaws, AVA, Sainsbury's and Wilko have all recalled some of their cat food.
