'She was a life force' Graham Norton opens up about friend Carrie Fisher
Graham Norton told presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield that how the interview with the legendary Star Wars actress on his show turned out to be her last.
Graham said: “It transpired that was her final interview. If we had know, I wish we had done a better job! It was such a shock. It’s taken a long time to figure out that she has gone. She did nearly cancel, she was ill, under the weather. But she got through the show. When we got news, I thought that can’t be the end of Carrie Fisher. She was a life force.”
In her memoir, Carrie confessed about her affair with co-star Harrison Ford, who appears on Graham's chat show tomorrow night. But Graham revealed he didn’t talk to him about the alleged relationship.
He said: “I didn’t bring it up. You know he’s not going to talk about it. I’m not a journalist. Who cares? I’m not the police, I’m not there to interrogate people.”
