King of the Air fryer Nathan Anthony is back in the kitchen with another speedy and delicious recipe. Armed with his trusted air fryer, he’s making his ‘Not Fast Food’ Burgers with a side of Sweet Potato Fries.
‘Not Fast Food’ Burgers with a side of Sweet Potato Fries
Serves 3
Ingredients
Burgers
6 beef patties
3 seeded baps, sliced in half
1 lettuce, shredded
1 red onion, sliced
Pickled gherkin slices
Cheddar slices
Sauce
4 tbsp mayo
3 tbsp ketchup
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp pickle juice
Sweet Potato Wedges
1 kg sweet potatoes, sliced into wedges, skin on
Low-calories spray oil
Dressing
Handful of fresh basil
1 red chilli, deseeded and finely chopped
4 garlic cloves, crushed
Zest and juice of 1 lemon
1 tbsp oil
Pinch of salt
Method
1. Air fry the beef patties at 190oC for 12 - 15 minutes - 12 minutes for skinny burgers and 15 for thicker ones.
2. While the burgers are cooking, combine all ingredients for the sauce and mix.
3. Plate up the cooked patties into the seeded buns, 2 patties per bun.
4. Dress the burger with the lettuce, onions, gherkins and cheese.
5. Spray the sweet potatoes with the low-calorie oil, sprinkle with salt and air fry at 200oC for 15 minutes. Shake halfway.
6. While the wedges are cooking, make the dressing by combining all the ingredients
7. Coat the wedges in the dressing.
8. Plate the burger and sweet potato wedges and enjoy!
