Testing on animals... what do you think?

Today the government are releasing a plan on how to reduce the use of animals in medical testing, the plan has been supported by the Home Office's Department for Business Innovation and Skills and Department of Health.

Today we are asking if it is ever right to perform medical tests on animals? CEO of non-profit organisation Understanding Animal Research Wendy Jarrett says yes and if we want to continue to make medical breakthroughs, we have no other current option.

However PETA's science policy advisor Rebecca Ram says no, animals feel pain just as much as humans and are tested against their will.
