How to make your own pumpkin spice latte
With the leaves falling and the nights drawing in, it’s officially that time of year again - PSL season! For those who don’t celebrate, PSL translates to Pumpkin Spice Latte - which are now an autumnal staple in coffee shops across the UK. But if you fancy whipping one up at home, Clodagh’s in the kitchen to show you how.
Pumpkin Spiced Latte
Serves: 1
Ingredients
2 tsp pumpkin purée 1 tsp honey Pinch of ground cinnamon Pinch of ground ginger1 shot (30ml) espresso (use 2 shots if you’d like a stronger coffee)250ml milk (any will work) Small amount of vanilla extract
To finish:Whipped cream Cinnamon
Method
1. Put the pumpkin purée and honey in a large heatproof glass or mug and stir in the spices.
2. Pull a shot of espresso and add this to the pumpkin spice mix. Stir well to combine.
3. Heat the milk along with the vanilla in a milk frother machine or in a saucepan over a low heat until steaming.
4. Pour the milk into the glass or mug until ¾ full. Stir well to combine, then top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
