Dwayne Johnson interrupts interview with a special message for Alison

Hollywood star Dwayne Johnson joins us ahead of the release of his new DC superhero movie which sees him playing villain-turned-antihero, Black Adam.

15 years in the making, he tells us why he believes he was born to play the part, how his most important role in life is playing Dad and why we might still see him running for the White House.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson paid a special tribute to Alison Hammond - interrupting his own interview to give the national treasure a big congratulations for 'doing so great'.

Dwayne was speaking to Alison and Dermot about his new film Black Adam, and opened the chat with 'Good morning to my former ex wife Alison…' - referencing the time the pair had a spoof marriage on back in 2017.

When the chat ended, Dwayne asked his publicists off screen if he could extend the interview to speak especially to Alison.

They agreed, and Dwayne said, 'I just want to say this really quickly, Alison, I want to tell you, we've known each other for a long time - I’m so happy for you. I know you’ve been doing so great, you’ve been nominated for all these National TV Awards, you’ve been incredible so ‘mwah’. Congratulations! We’ve got to get married again!'

'I’m so proud of you as well' said Alison, making a heart shape with her hands.
