Food banks and money saving apps
The Trussell Trust
Every day people in the UK go hungry for reasons ranging from redundancy to receiving an unexpected bill on a low income. Trussell Trust foodbanks provide a minimum of three days emergency food and support to people experiencing crisis in the UK.
FareShare
FareShare is a national UK charity supporting communities to relieve food poverty. FareShare is at the centre of two of the most urgent issues that face the UK: food poverty and food waste.
Baby Bank Alliance
Powered by local communities, over 300 baby banks across the UK provide a vital lifeline for families in all sorts of challenging circumstances. They create warm, caring places for families to access equipment, products, clothes and toys for their children. We have formed a national Baby Bank Alliance to ensure that all baby banks can access the funding, goods, volunteers and practical support they need, to be the most effective they can be. We want to bring these independent baby banks together with one voice, to boost the impact of the incredible support they offer and share the stories of the families they help.
Little Village
Little Village makes a big difference to families with babies and young children living in poverty across London. Via our network of baby banks, we pass on loved goods from one family to another – clothes, toys and equipment – so that many more babies and young children have the essential things they need to thrive.
Families either visit a Little Village hub, or items are packed with care and delivered to their home. We also connect families into a wider network of support. Thanks to the generous donations of loved items, precious time and money, since we launched in 2016, Little Village has supported more than 32,000 children. Our values of love, solidarity, thriving and sustainability are at the heart of everything we do.

One of the newest reward apps, Shoppix works by customers simply snapping a picture of their shopping receipts to collect tokens that can be exchanged for gift vouchers or cash prizes.
A number of offers and deals will appear on the app, changing regularly. Customers then go shopping, share their receipt to the app and get the cashback in their Quidco account. This can then be withdrawn into a Paypal or bank account.
