Everything you need to know about the launch of ITVX!
It’s a big day for ITV as our brand new streaming platform launches, offering more original series and films than ever before. We’ll show you what happened when Toff hit the red carpet at the launch of ITVX, and chatted with the likes of Helena Bonham Carter, Vicky McClure & Dougray Scott, and Alice Beer is here to explain how you can access it.
What is ITVX?ITVX is our fresh new streaming service offering more new shows for free than anywhere else. It launches on the 8th of December 2022, with over 10,000 hours of free programming. Viewers can expect a full range of ITV drama past and present to go on the service, as well as documentaries, cult classics, and hundreds of blockbuster films.
All ITV's channels will be available to livestream through ITVX, as well as additional themed channels (known as fast channels), and a dedicated news section on ITVX.
How much does it cost?
ITVX will be the first streaming service in the UK to offer viewers the flexibility to access free content with ads and ad-free paid subscription, all in one place. ITVX will live stream must-watch events including the FIFA world cup, and the Love Island finale as they are broadcast on ITV's channels.
For those preferring to watch without advertising, ITVX will offer viewers the flexibility to view ad-free for a limited monthly fee. A subscription will also give viewers access to an additional 6,000 hours of content through BritBox UK.
Viewers can choose to subscribe to a premium version for £5.99 a month or £59.99 a year. If you decide to sign up to ITVX premium, you'll also be able to download shows to your smartphone or tablet.
How can you access ITVX?
If you want to sign into ITVX on your TV then open the ITVX app, select the settings icon in the left-hand menu and sign in. You'll then be given the option either to sign in on another device or to sign in using the on-screen keyboard.
