Claire Sweeney began her career singing for pensioners in Liverpool. Since then she's toured the world on cruise ships, played Lindsey Corkhill in Brookside, appeared in the Celeb Big Brother house and even found time to write her own musical!
Claire joins us today before she hits the road again, touring the country as Velma Von Tussle in the musical Hairspray.
Claire says that she's lucky as she can take one year old son, Jackson, with her on tour. On being a mother, Claire said, "I’m loving it. It’s completely changed my life."
Claire can't wait to get on stage. She said, "I just love musicals, Hairspray is going to be so much fun."
When asked if she'd approve if her son Jackson wants to be an actor, Claire said, "If he wants to, I've had a lovely life and seen the world. I've been so lucky."
