Brits urged to wear face masks again 😷

Yesterday the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) issued new advice as hospitals battle rising rates of Covid, flu and Strep A.

The new advice urges Brits to wear face masks and stay at home if they feel ill as the NHS battles the winter illnesses.

With the NHS experiencing severe overcrowding problems, and waiting times likely to hit the highest level on record, mask-wearing is advisable to reduce and limit winter illnesses.

Professor Susan Hopkins, Chief Medical Adviser at UKHSA, said in a statement.

"Adults should also try to stay home when unwell and if you do have to go out, wear a face covering. When unwell don’t visit healthcare settings or visit vulnerable people unless urgent."
