Britain's most shameless shoplifter

I’m not a nasty person. I’ve helped people out as well, its not all just about me. That’s my bit of charity.

Kim Farry

Kim Farry - labelled Britain’s most shameless shoplifter - has admitted to stealing up to two million pounds worth of goods to fund a lavish lifestyle, but still claims benefits. Explaining her story, Kim said, “I started at nine years old. My mum had a hard time, dad left her and one morning she had one egg between nine kids, she had no money and was crying so I took it upon myself to go and get some food. And that’s how it started.”

Kim later admitted that she wanted to change her ways but doesn’t want her luxury lifestyle to alter. “I like to live well, I eat nice food, I’ve got good morals… I’m not a nasty person. I’ve helped people out as well, it's not all just about me. That’s my bit of charity. Am I like Robin Hood? Yes, basically.”

Revealing the last time she shoplifted some goods, Kim said, “It was about twelve weeks ago now. It was Christmas presents for my children. I don’t want everyone to think I’m just taking things for the sake of it. It’s not like that. How can I change if people don’t give you a chance? I would do anything as long as it’s a job, I don’t care. I want to work.”

Watch our interview to find out why Kim has decided to give up shoplifting, and why she's decided to come clean on live TV.
