Cruse Bereavement Care Scotland (CBCS) exists to promote the well-being of bereaved people in Scotland. We seek to help anyone experiencing bereavement to understand their grief and cope with their loss. We work primarily through volunteers, providing free care to bereaved people. We also train and educate individuals and organisations who may in turn be able to contribute to the well-being of bereaved people.

The Compassionate Friends provide one-to-one support, local support groups and produce a range of publications for parents, children, grandparents and professionals, as well as a website specifically for people dealing with the death of a brother or sister.
Way Widowed & Young
WAY offers support and friendship to young bereaved people, whatever their circumstances, however long ago their partner died. We help men and women up to the age of 50, parents and those without children.
Way-up
Way Up is an active, online self-help group aimed at providing mutual support to those who have been widowed primarily, but not exclusively, in their 50’s and 60’s. Based in the UK, our free to join members-only forum is an important aspect of our group and is a way to initiate friendships, to exchange views and to give and to receive care and support.

SOBS exists to meet the needs and break the isolation of those bereaved by the suicide of a close relative or friend, aiming to provide a safe, confidential environment in which bereaved people can share their experiences and feelings, so giving and gaining support from each other.

We support everyone affected by suicide, whether they be bereaved, having thoughts of suicide, or have attempted suicide. Everyone is vulnerable, especially right now when the world as we know it has changed, bringing mental health fragilities to those who have never before experienced them and an escalation of poor mental health for vulnerable people who were already struggling.

Gambling with Lives was set up by families bereaved by gambling-related suicide. We support bereaved families, raise awareness of the devastating effects of gambling disorder, campaign for change. We support those bereaved by gambling-related suicide and to improve mental health and save lives through raising awareness of the risks to health posed by gambling.

Grief Encounter helps families address difficult issues such as death and we help make sense of the hurt and confusion. Above all, we aim to help them find ways out of the abyss of grief. The Grieftalk Helpline offers support to those who need a confidential space to chat and be heard.
