One hundred years of glamour

It's 100 years since Max Factor created Flexible Greasepaint, the first make-up ever designed for motion-picture use, and to celebrate we're taking a look at changes to make-up over the years.

From the mascara you had to spit on to lipsticks stored in trinkets, antiques expert and author of Compacts and Cosmetics Madeleine Marsh shows us some of the most significant pieces that have influenced the make-up we use every day.
