10 years on... the world's first pregnant man

She said if I wanted a girl, I'd have to do it myself...

Thomas Beatie

A decade ago Thomas Beatie made global headlines when he became the world's first 'pregnant man’.

After having gender reassignment surgery to remove his breasts, Thomas decided to keep his reproductive organs and in 2008 with his first wife, Nancy, the couple welcomed their daughter, followed by two sons. But how has life panned out for the unconventional family?

Thomas joins us alongside his new wife, Amber, to tell us what a difference a decade makes and to tell us why he might not have ruled out carrying a baby for one final time.
