SENSITIVE INFORMATION PRIVACY NOTICE (“SIPN”)
This sensitive information privacy notice (“Sensitive Information Privacy Notice”) supplements (and does not override) our privacy notice for Programme Applicants, Contributors and Talent (found at www.itvstudios.com/privacy-notice/talent-contributors-audience) which describes how we process your information and gives details about your rights and how to use them (our “Privacy Notice”).
If you do not want to provide consent, want to withdraw your consent or have any questions about how your information will be used, please contact us at myprivacy@itv.com. Where relevant, you will need to write separately to any third parties to withdraw consent from them. Please note however, that not providing consent, or withdrawing your consent, may potentially have an impact on your participation in the Programme and, depending on the circumstances, we may still be able to use your information despite your withdrawal of consent, for example, where we believe such use to be in the public interest, including for journalistic or artistic purposes.
Introduction
We, ITV Studios Limited and our subsidiary companies ( “ITVS”, “us”, “we”, “our”), are producing a programme called “Lorraine” (the “Programme”). The Programme has an annual event called ‘Lorraine’s Women of the Year Kindness Award’ (the “Award”)which is made to spotlight and celebrate remarkable women who have demonstrated incredible levels of kindness in the last year. Entrants will be able to nominate the person they think deserves the Award.
Sensitive Information
The nature of the Award involves us obtaining and using certain information from you and other sources (as set out in our Privacy Notice) which may be sensitive in nature concerning your mental health, your physical fitness and health, your sexual orientation, your political opinions,your religion, your race, your criminal history (which may include allegations, on-going proceedings and/or convictions), together “Sensitive Information”.
Purpose, Use & Sharing of Sensitive Information
Your Sensitive Information will be processed for certain purposes and shared internally and externally, strictly on a need to know basis, as further described below and in our Privacy Notice:
Suitability for the Award and the Programme and wellbeing
We may ask you for certain Sensitive Information to help us to find and shortlist suitable nominees; as part of our duty of care and health and safety obligations to our participants and others (for example, to help us to protect your health and wellbeing and/or to consider the provision of reasonable support, where appropriate).
We may also carry out Google and social media background checks.
Where we ask you to self-disclose your criminal history, you do not have to disclose any spent criminal convictions but we encourage you to do so if you want us to take such information into account in respect of your suitability for the Programme and/or your wellbeing.
For Programme Content / Footage
Given the nature of the Programme, if you take part in it, some footage of you and/or about you may be sensitive in nature and/or it may involve questions or discussions (on or off screen) with you and/or with others about you covering topics relating to Sensitive Information about you.
This Sensitive Information may be used by us for the purposes of preparing, making and/or exploiting the Programme and as part of the editorial content included in the Programme.
Finally, as the Programme is being made for ITV Broadcasting Limited, your Sensitive Information may be shared with them on a need to know basis for the purposes set out above and in our Privacy Notice and in accordance with the ITV Broadcasting Privacy Notice at: https://www.itv.com/_data/documents/pdf/ITV_Broadcasting_Privacy_Notice.pdf
We may also need to share your sensitive information with the organisers of the Award who are Woman of the Year for the purposes of the Awards ceremony and they will process your Sensitive Information in accordance with their privacy notice.
