Contacting the programme:

If you are interested in an upcoming TV programme on ITV (the ‘programme’) you may contact ITV and/or the programme producers.

These terms and conditions apply when you contact ITV and/or the programme producers for information regarding the programme and/or to register your interest in taking part in the programme or nominating someone you know to take part. Please make sure if you are nominating someone to take part that you have their consent to be nominated. Further terms and conditions, as well as applicable rules, regulations and guidelines may apply including but not limited to terms and conditions as indicated by the programme producers and/or as set out in promotional information for the programme. By contacting ITV and/or the programme producers (or if you are a nominee by agreeing to participate) you signify your acceptance of these terms and conditions and any additional terms and conditions, rules, regulations and guidelines. Your interest in the programme may not be considered further if you fail to adhere to these and any applicable rules, regulations, guidelines, and terms and conditions.

Please note that, unless otherwise stated, you (or your nominee(s)) must be a UK resident, aged 18 years old or over and meet any additional eligibility requirements as set out by ITV and/or the programme producers. Additional eligibility requirements will be as stated in the relevant promotional information for the programme. If you (or your nominee(s)) fail to meet any eligibility criteria, or cannot be contacted or if you (or your nominee(s)) otherwise do not comply with any of these terms and conditions, then you (or your nominee(s)) will no longer be considered further.

You may contact ITV or the programme producers by following the instructions as set out in the relevant promotional information for the programme. You will be required to provide contact information including but not limited to your full name, your email address and a daytime contact number, as well as such other information and/or material as may be required by the programme producers or as stated in the relevant promotional information. You are required to provide complete, valid, correct and up-to-date information. Failure to provide such information will result in your information being invalid, and you (or your nominee(s)) will not be considered. ITV does not guarantee that all persons (or their nominees) who have contacted ITV and/or the programme producers will be contacted.

Unless otherwise stated, there is no restriction on the number of times you may contact the programme producers. Where there are such restrictions, this is as stated in the relevant promotion.

There is no charge when contacting ITV and/or the programme producers via email or online, although internet service provider’s fees may apply. In the event there are applicable charges for using this service, this is as set out in the relevant promotion.

The closing date and time for contacting ITV and/or the programme producers is as stated in the relevant promotion. ITV and/or the programme producers may change the closing date and time at any time in their sole discretion. Please note that the availability of this service, including the closing date and time, may change without notice for reasons beyond the reasonable control of ITV and/or the programme producers. If you contact ITV and/or the programme producers after the closing date and time, or the information and/or material you provide is incomprehensible, misleading, incomplete, incorrectly addressed, lost in transit, or not received, you (or your nominee(s)) will not be considered. The programme producers reserve the right in their sole discretion to invalidate any information and/or material received. The programme producers cannot accept responsibility for any request which is not received by the closing date and time.

Where the programme producers and/or the promotional information for the programme indicate that you are required to provide material(s) including without limitation photographs, film and/or video on VHS tapes and/or DVDs, CDs, drawings and/or designs, and any other similar material, such material will only be accepted if it is solely your work as the person submitting that material, and such material should not include third party images or third party material and/or content. You warrant that you will not submit any material which in any way infringes the rights of a third party, or which infringes any applicable laws. All submitted materials are considered as “Submissions” (as defined under the General Programme Interactivity Terms at www.itv.com/terms/programmes/itvgeneralprogrammeinteractivityterms) and are subject to such Terms.

ITV and/or the programme producers may accept the information and/or material you provide or refuse to consider it in their sole and absolute discretion. You may not submit any information or material which is in any way defamatory, obscene, unlawful, harmful, offensive or inappropriate or which infringes the rights of a third party or may have the effect of being harassing, threatening, abusive or hateful or that otherwise degrades or intimidates an individual or group of individuals on the basis of religion, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, age or disability. You further agree not to advertise or promote third parties' or your own goods or services including by way of the distribution of "spam". Any such information or material will be deemed unsuitable and will not be accepted.

You agree that when you submit information to ITV and/or the programme producers you (and your nominee(s)) agree to comply with these terms and conditions and you agree that all or part of the information you (or your nominee(s)) submit may be edited, adapted, displayed, or published in all media, (including but not limited to broadcast as part of the programme) and/or otherwise made publicly available in the discretion of ITV and/or the programme producers.

Any information and data which is provided by you when you contact the programme will be held and used by ITV and/or the programme producers in order to administer your request and/or to be otherwise used in connection with the administration and/or production of the programme. ITV and/or programme producers may be required to send your personal data to third parties outside the United Kingdom in connection with the production and the administration of the programme and you agree to such transfer for these purposes.

Contacting you:

ITV reserves the right in their sole discretion to contact you (or your nominee(s)) on the phone number or email address you may have provided, as applicable, to confirm eligibility and/or where relevant to provide you with additional information. You (or your nominee(s)) may be required to provide proof of age and eligibility. Where applicable, you (or your nominee(s)) may further be required by the programme producers and/or their agents to provide your signature as proof of your agreement to any relevant waivers, releases and/or consent to take part in the programme, and to be available on a specified date and time at a specified location and/or for any material you may have submitted to be featured in the programme. Failure to provide valid and current proof of age and/or eligibility, or to provide a signature as required will result in you (or your nominee(s)) no longer being considered. ITV does not guarantee that all persons who have contacted ITV and/or the programme producers will be contacted.

ITV does not represent, undertake or warrant that it will broadcast any future episode of the programme which may or may not include your (or your nominee(s)’) information, material(s) and/or participation.

If you (and/or your nominee(s)) are not eligible, or do not comply with any of these terms and conditions, then you (and/or your nominee(s)) will no longer be considered further.

For the avoidance of doubt ITV and the programme producers are not liable to refund any costs incurred when contacting ITV and/or the programme producers, including but not limited to internet access fees or the cost of calls made, or such other costs which may be incurred during or as a result of contacting the programme producers including but not limited to travel costs, accommodation, repair and/or restoration cost, incidental costs, charges, fees or expenses as applicable, unless otherwise stated.

General rules:

ITV and the programme producers do not accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem with any telephone network or line, system, server, software provider or otherwise which may result in any requests for information, registration of interest or other material not being properly received or recorded.

ITV cannot promise that the system and/or service will be free from errors or omissions nor that it will be available uninterrupted and in a fully operating condition. The system and/or service may be suspended temporarily and without notice in the case of system failure, maintenance or repair or for reasons beyond the reasonable control of ITV. ITV will not be liable to you or to any other person in the event that all or any part of the system and/or service is discontinued, modified or changed in any way.

Nothing in these terms and conditions restricts your statutory rights as a consumer. For more details on your statutory rights you should contact your local Trading Standards Office or Citizen's Advice Bureau.
