Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards 2024-2025 Terms
Ref: POB/MH/LD/20241024/1196 DAILY MIRROR PRIDE OF BRITAIN AWARDS 2025 - ITV REGIONS FUNDRAISER OF THE YEAR AWARD 2025, GOOD MORNING BRITAIN YOUNG FUNDRAISER OF THE YEAR AWARD 2025 AND THIS MORNING LOCAL HERO AWARD 2025 NOMINATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Nominations for:
The ITV Regions Fundraiser of the Year Award 2025;
The Good Morning Britain Young Fundraiser of the Year Award 2025; and
This Morning Local Hero Award 2025;
(all part of the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards 2025) as promoted in the ITV regional news programmes, Good Morning Britain and This Morning (together the “Programmes”) open on 24 October 2024 and close on 10 August 2025 at 11.59pm.
Eligibility: a) Nominees must be UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man residents.b) Nominees for the ITV Regions Fundraiser of the Year Award 2025 may be individuals or groups of 2 people or more.c) Nominees for the Good Morning Britain Young Fundraiser of the Year Award 2025 may be individuals or groups of no more than two people.d) Nominees for the This Morning Local Hero Award 2025 must be individuals and not groups of people, an organisation or similar.e) In the event of a group winning an award, the Prize Provider reserves the right to request that a capped number of representatives from the group or organisation receive the Winner’s Package (as outlined below) at the Prize Provider’s discretion.f) If you (the nominator) are under 18 years old, you must have your parent or legal guardian’s permission to nominate and you must provide the name and daytime telephone number of your parent or legal guardian on request.g) If your nominee is under 18 years old on the date the nomination is made, you must obtain permission from their parent or legal guardian before you put them forward to be considered for the award and you must provide the name and daytime telephone number of their parent or legal guardian on request.h) The Promoter reserves the right to contact the relevant parent or legal guardian to check the relevant permissions have been obtained and to exclude nominations for which the requisite permissions have not been given.i) If a nominee is under 18 years old and required to attend the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards 2025 ceremony or participate in the Programmes in person, the nominee must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian over the age of 18.j) It will be your (the nominator’s) responsibility to:
obtain permission from the nominee to nominate them;
where required have the consent of their parent of guardian, before submitting their nomination;
make the nominee aware:o that their nomination is subject to these terms and conditions;o of the Pride of Britain privacy policy, available here;o that part of the prize is attending the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards 2025 to collect their awards; ando that they may be required to appear on the Programmes or the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards 2025 programme. Information provided may also be used as part of an editorial feature within the Daily Mirror.
k) Nominees must not be employed or engaged by or be members of the immediate families (including any live-in partner) of employees of companies within the ITV group of companies and any of their subsidiaries and/or agencies associated with the ITV Regions Fundraiser of the Year Award 2025, the Good Morning Britain Young Fundraiser of the Year Award 2025, This Morning Local Hero Award and/or the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards 2025 event. If a nominee has raised money for a child or group of children, any vulnerable adult(s) or any other person(s), it is the responsibility of the nominator to obtain permission from the child/children (and their parent(s) or legal guardian(s)), the vulnerable adult(s) (and any person in loco parentis if required) and the person(s) before making the nomination. The Promoter reserves the right to contact the relevant persons, parent(s) or legal guardian(s) if required.l) Nominees must be available to be contacted between 10 August 2025 and 17 October 2025 and must agree to take part in any filming, broadcast and publicity related to the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards 2025.m) Successful nominees must be available to travel to London to attend the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards 2025 ceremony due to be held in the Autumn of 2025 (the exact date to be communicated to successful nominees).n) The Promoter reserves the right to exclude corporate-backed fundraising and volunteer work or fundraising for which the individual has been paid.o) Nominees must let the Promoter know if they have been convicted of a crime, if they are the subject of ongoing criminal proceedings or investigations, if they have any County Court Judgements against them, or of any other matter that might cause disrepute to ITV or the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards.p) Disclosure of criminal convictions, current criminal proceedings or investigations and other matters including those that may cause potential disrepute, may not automatically exclude nominees from the selection process but the Promoter, the ITV/Daily Mirror Pride of Britain team and/or any judging panel shall be entitled to exercise their sole discretion in this regard. In all cases the decision of the Promoter, the ITV/Daily Mirror Pride of Britain team and/or the judging panel(s) shall be final.q) Further eligibility requirements for each Award are as follows:
ITV Regions Fundraiser of The Year Award 2025
Nominees must be residents in the ITV news region for which the entries are submitted (i.e. Tyne Tees, Border, Yorkshire North, Yorkshire South, Granada, Central East, Central West, Anglia East, Anglia West, Meridian East, Meridian West, West Country (East) West Country (West), Wales, London, Channel Islands or UTV). Where a nominee lives on the border of two or more regions, the nominee can only be considered for one region;
Nominees must be aged 18 or over from the start of 22 October 2024;
Nominees must have organised or participated in raising funds for a charitable or voluntary organisation or cause between 22 October 2024 and 30 September 2025;
Fundraising for political organisations is not eligible; and
Previous winners of Regional or National ITV Regions Fundraiser of the Year Award are not eligible for the 2025 award.
Good Morning Britain Young Fundraiser of the Year Award 2025
Nominees must be aged 17 or under from the start of June 2025;
Nominees must have organised or participated in raising funds for a charitable or voluntary organisation or cause between 6 August 2024 and 10 August 2025; and
Fundraising for political organisations is not eligible.
This Morning Local Hero Award 2025
All of the nominees within the group or organisation must be aged 18 or over from the start of 24 October 2024; r) If the nominee is unable to participate in the process for reasons beyond their control, another person on their behalf may represent them in the process, at the Promoter’s discretion.s) The Promoter reserves the right to check that all eligibility conditions have been met at any time throughout the process.t) The Promoter reserves the right to terminate the nomination and/or participation of the Nominee to the Award in the event the Nominee does not have any of the required consents set out in these Terms and Conditions or the consents are subsequently withdrawn.

The websites will have a link on the page to the Pride of Britain website (the “Website”) where nominators should follow the instructions to access and complete the online nomination form. Alternatively, to nominate for any of the three awards, you can complete a nomination form found in the Daily Mirror newspaper if or when made available in the Daily Mirror newspaper. Please include on the form the name of the award you are nominating the nominee for and try to keep the reasons for making your nomination to 500 words or less. For the ITV Regions Fundraiser of The Year Award 2025, please also include the name of your nominee’s home ITV News Region (e.g. Tyne Tees, Border, Yorkshire North, Yorkshire South, Granada, Central East, Central West, Anglia East, Anglia West, Meridian East, Meridian West, West Country East, West Country West, Wales, London, Channel or UTV). The Promoter and/or Daily Mirror Pride of Britain team reserve the right to consider nominations for the category you have nominated in, or any other Daily Mirror Pride of Britain category. There is no limit on the number of nominations you may make. By making a nomination, you acknowledge and agree that the Promoter and/or the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain team may contact you and/or your nominee in relation to such nomination. The Promoter does not represent, undertake or warrant that it or the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain team will contact all nominators or nominees. For the avoidance of doubt, if we suspect that you and/or your nominee are not eligible to participate in this nomination process, we reserve the right to terminate or suspend their further participation. The nominee must comply with any instructions and/or directions as given to them by the Promoter, their subcontractors and agents including without limitation in conformity with the Ofcom Broadcasting Code and all applicable rules, laws, regulations and guidelines.
Cost of nomination: There is no charge for nominations submitted via the Website with the exception of your internet service provider's fees where applicable.
Nomination and selection criteria:
a) ITV Regions Fundraiser of The Year Award 2025 Nominations for the ITV Regions Fundraiser of The Year Award 2025 may be made for an individual or group (where all members are aged 18 or over) who deserves recognition for tireless, creative, inspiring or selfless fundraising for good causes. The creativity, imagination and ingenuity of the nominee’s fundraising, amount of funds raised and personal endeavours of the nominee when fundraising can be considered when shortlisting and judging.
b) Good Morning Britain Young Fundraiser of the Year Award 2025 Nominations for the Good Morning Britain Young Fundraiser of the Year Award 2025 may be made for children aged 17 years and under who have inspirational stories of fundraising.
c) This Morning Local Hero Award 2025 Nominations for the This Morning Local Hero Award 2025 may be made for an individual aged 18 or over who has made a significant contribution to improve the lives of those around them. The winner will be someone who deserves recognition for their tireless, creative, inspiring, selfless work for their community and/or for others in the UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man.
In the event of a group winning the award, the Prize Provider reserves the right to request that a capped number of representatives from the group or organisation receive the Winner’s Package (as outlined below) at the Prize Provider’s discretion.
Nomination selection process: Nominations received by the closing date and time will be considered for the ITV Regions Fundraiser of The Year Award 2025, This Morning Local Hero Award 2025, or Good Morning Britain Young Fundraiser of the Year Award 2025 (as applicable) as part of the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards 2025.
a) ITV Regions Fundraiser of The Year Award 2025: Shortlist – A shortlist of nominees from each of the seventeen ITV news regions (the “Regional Shortlisted Nominees”) will be prepared by an internal ITV regional news judging panel. Candidates will be found through public nominations, contacting the Pride of Britain research team and research by the Pride of Britain and Promoter’s research teams. A shortlisting panel will use the nomination selection criteria to make their decision. All shortlisted nominees will be filmed for the purposes of creating a film profile for the second selection stage. Regional winner - For each ITV news region, a second selection panel, including members of the ITV regional news team and an external third party (the “Second Selection Panel”) will review each of the film profiles for each Regional Shortlisted Nominee to determine the winner or winning group for that ITV region (the “Regional Winner”). One member of the Second Selection Panel will be nominated to be the head judge who will determine the outcome in the event of a tie or in the event of a technical failure or other circumstance beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, which affects the outcome. The Second Selection Panel will use the nomination selection criteria to make their decision. The name of each Regional Winner will be announced on the relevant regional ITV news programme on or about September.
Each Regional Winner will attend the Pride of Britain Awards 2025 ceremony. Where the Regional Winner is an individual, the Regional Winner and a companion will attend the Pride of Britain Awards 2025 ceremony. Where the Regional Winner is a group of two or more people, the Regional Winner will have a choice between: (i) having one representative of the group and a companion attending the Pride of Britain Awards 2025 ceremony; or (ii) having two representatives of the group only (and no companions) attending the Pride of Britain Awards 2025 ceremony. National winner - The decision of the Final Selection Panel (as defined below) will be announced at the Pride of Britain 2025 Awards and one national winner will be unveiled from all the Regional Winners.
b) Good Morning Britain Young Fundraiser of the Year Award 2025: Shortlist – A shortlist will be prepared by the Pride of Britain research team. Candidates will be found through public nominations and research by the Pride of Britain research team.
c) This Morning Local Hero Award 2025: Shortlist – A shortlist will be prepared by the Pride of Britain research team. Candidates will be found through public nominations and research by the Pride of Britain research team.
Winner Selection Process: For the ITV Regions Fundraiser of the Year Award 2025, This Morning Local Hero Award 2025 and the Good Morning Britain Young Fundraiser of the Year Award 2025: Winner – A separate judging panel of judges (which will consist of representatives of Good Morning Britain as well as other members selected by Pride of Britain and the Daily Mirror and which will include an independent judge) (the “Final Selection Panel”) will review each of the Regional Winners and shortlisted nominees in each category. One member of the Final Selection Panel will be nominated to be the head judge and will determine the outcome in the event of a tie. The Final Selection Panel will select the national winner of the ITV Regions Fundraiser of the Year Award 2025, the winner of the Good Morning Britain Young Fundraiser of the Year Award 2025 and the winner of the This Morning Local Hero Award 2025. The winner in each category will be revealed at a time to be determined by the Promoter in their sole discretion during the Programmes and/or on the websites. The decisions of the judging panels at each stage will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. There may be a long-listing of nominations prior to the Shortlist stage by a long-listing team as part of the selection process. Filming: Nominees agree to make themselves available as and when requested by the Promoter for filming and/or other contact between 10 August 2025 and October 2025 and/or such other dates as may be determined by the Promoter in their sole discretion. Shortlisted nominees must agree to be filmed and to provide their signature as proof of waiver and/or consent. Where a shortlisted nominee is aged under 18, their parent or legal guardian must provide their signature as proof of waiver and/or consent on behalf of the shortlisted nominee. Failure to provide such proof of waiver and/or consent from the nominee and/or parent may result in that nominee not being able to participate further in the nomination selection process. The Promoter reserves the right to broadcast the films for each shortlisted nominee on each of the Programmes (as applicable) and elsewhere in its sole discretion without payment to the nominee. Winners’ Package: Each Regional Winner (for the ITV Regions Fundraiser of the Year Award 2025, where the Regional Winner is an individual), the winner of the Good Morning Britain Young Fundraiser of the Year Award 2025 and the winner of the This Morning Local Hero Award 2025 will be invited to attend the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards 2025 ceremony to be held in London in the Autumn of 2025 (exact date to be confirmed to the winners). Each Regional Winner (where such Regional Winner is an individual), the winner of the This Morning Local Hero Awards 2025 and the winner of the Good Morning Britain Young Fundraiser of the Year Award can also bring one (1) companion to the ceremony (who must be the parent/guardian of the relevant winning nominee if they are aged under 18).
Please note that where a Regional Winner is a group of individuals, they can either: (i) elect one representative to attend the ceremony who can also bring one (1) companion to the ceremony; or (ii) elect two (2) representatives to attend the ceremony without companion(s).
a) For each Regional Winner, the Winner’s Package will include:
standard class travel from the Regional Winner’s UK base to the London hotel for the Regional Winner and their companion;
tickets for each Regional Winner and one (1) companion to the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards 2025 including attendance at a champagne reception (for those over 18), a three (3) course dinner and after show drinks;
one (1) night’s accommodation at a four- star central London hotel for each Regional Winner and their companion on the night of the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards 2025 ceremony on a room-only basis based on two people sharing a double or twin room (at the winner’s choice, subject to availability); and
return ground transfers from the London hotel to the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards 2025 ceremony. Please note that where the Regional Winner is a group, the Winner’s Package will be available to either: (i) one representative of the winning group and a companion; or (ii) two representatives of the winning group. For the avoidance of doubt, in the event the Regional Winner opts for option (ii), the two representatives will share a double or twin room.
b) For the Good Morning Britain Young Fundraiser of the Year, the Winner’s Package will include:
standard class travel from the winner’s UK base to the London hotel for the winner and their companion;
tickets for the winner and one (1) companion to the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards 2025 including attendance at a champagne reception (for those over 18), a three (3) course dinner;
one (1) night’s accommodation for the winner and their companion at a four-star central London hotel on the night of the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards 2025 ceremony on a bed and breakfast basis based on two people sharing a double or twin room (room type at the winner’s choice, subject to availability); and
return ground transfers from the London hotel to the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards 2025 ceremony.
c) For the This Morning Local Hero Award 2025, the Winner’s Package will include:
standard class travel from the winner’s UK base to the London hotel for the winner and their companion;
tickets for the winner and one (1) companion to the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards 2025 including attendance at a champagne reception (for those over 18), a three (3) course dinner;
one (1) night’s accommodation for the winner and their companion at a four-star central London hotel on the night of the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards 2025 ceremony on a bed and breakfast basis based on two people sharing a double or twin room (room type at the winner’s choice, subject to availability); and
return ground transfers from the London hotel to the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards 2025 ceremony.
Each of the Regional Winners of the ITV Regional Fundraiser Award and the winners of the Good Morning Britain Young Fundraiser of the Year Award and the This Morning Local Hero Award will be contacted by the Promoter or the Pride of Britain team in advance of the event to arrange delivery of the Winner’s Packages. It is the responsibility of each Regional Winner, the winner of the Good Morning Britain Young Fundraiser (or their parent/guardian) and winner of the This Morning Local Hero Award to inform the Prize Providers of any dietary requirements prior to attending the ceremony, to pay for meals and drinks (other than stated above), any additional hotel charges, room service, mini-bar goods, souvenirs, telephone calls, excursions, treatments, additional travel and accommodation, taxes, insurance and any other expenses which may be incurred when attending the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards 2025 ceremony and the Promoter is not to be held responsible or liable to refund any such expenses. It is the responsibility of the Regional Winner or the Good Morning Britain Young Fundraiser of the Year or the This Morning Local Hero Award winner (as applicable) (or their parent/guardian if they are aged under 18) to inform the Prize Provider of any wheelchair or similar access requirements they may have and to adhere to any applicable health and safety guidelines. Please note that the winners and Regional Winners (or the representatives(s) of the winning group(s)) will need a current and valid credit/debit card with sufficient available funds in order to check in at the hotel for security deposit purposes. Where a companion of the winners is aged under eighteen (18) years old, the companion must have prior parental or guardian permission to accompany the winner when taking up the Winner’s Package. Please note this package is date specific and the winners and companions (and/or representatives of the group(s)) must arrive in London on the dates as notified by ITV to the winners in 2025. The winners and/or the representatives(s) of the winning group(s) and their companions (if/as applicable) acknowledge that in the event that: (i) the Pride of Britain award ceremony does not take place as specified for any reason; or (ii) the winners and/or their companions cannot attend the Pride of Britain award ceremony for any reason, the Promoter does not accept responsibility in these circumstances and no alternative Winner’s Package will be provided. Any information and/or data which is provided to ITV and/or MGN in accordance with these terms and conditions will be used in accordance with the Pride of Britain privacy policy available here.
