Joan

Joan (Sophie Turner) and Boisie (Frank Dillane) buy an engagement ring while the police search for the missing Stubbs painting at Boisie's store. The police find nothing, and a day with Kelly (Mia Millichamp-Long) is enjoyable, but Joan is adamant they have to get rid of the painting and go straight. As the police close in, Boisie struggles to find a buyer for the painting and turns to Albie (Gershwyn Eustache Jnr), for help; who proposes a risky option.

Joan, cleaning antiques at Boisie's shop, dreams of running her own jewellery business and excels in a gemmology course. Joan and Boisie get married, but Boisie’s jealousy is piqued by Joan dancing with Albie.
Boisie to get his painting authenticated, but his inside man, Hugo Saxton (Edward Bennett), is too scared to get involved. Desperate, Boisie shares his plan to sell the painting with Joan; she’s furious. Tom (Jack Greenlees) offers her an escape as an informant, but she refuses. After Joan nearly destroys the painting, Boisie reveals why he cannot renege on the sale. Joan agrees to help.
