Glastonbury 2015

This year's edition of the world's best known music festival is here. There's already been some drama with both Dave Grohl and his fans getting an unlucky break, and founder Michael Eavis telling us the festival might have to move somewhere else in future. But over 150,000 revellers are still gearing up for Florence, The Who and Kanye, as well as a host of other performers, experiences and traditions.

The Dalai Lama paid a visit to Glastonbury today, on the final day of this year's festival.

He was dodging the rain showers, along with all the other people on site, as Bob Cruwys reports.

And here's Bob's report from Saturday where the downpours of the day before had been replaced with sunshine:

The Dalai Lama is set to make a special appearance at Glastonbury on Sunday.

The exiled Tibetan spiritual leader is giving talks around the UK - and it's believed to be the first time the 79-year-old has been to Somerset.

His ghost writer, Alex Norman, told us His Holiness won't know much about what bands are playing, but that his audience can expect "incredible charisma" from him.

With just days to go until the big event some people are already enjoying the party - on a more miniature scale.

Legoland Windsor has unveiled its take on the famous festival, complete with headline acts Kayne West, Florence and the Machine and The Who's Roger Daltrey. The miniscape even includes real Worthy Farm mud as well as an impressive-looking Pyramid Stage. The Resort’s talented Model Making team have created the 10cm high Lego recreations of the famous stars, plus Kim Kardashian backstage in the VIP area.

And a festival isn’t a festival without all the essentials – including mini portaloos, tents and festival-goers mud sliding in real Glastonbury Festival mud delivered direct to the Resort from Worthy Farm.

The Glastonbury scene took the Resort’s talented model making team 720 hours to build, using around 9,872 bricks, including 5,400 used to create the 50cm high Pyramid Stage based on precise dimensions supplied by the Glastonbury Festival team.

The Glastonbury Festival has become such a British institution, it truly deserves a place here in Miniland.

The Model Makers have had a huge amount of fun creating the scene and the Festival team have been really helpful giving us stage dimensions and sending a special consignment of Glastonbury ‘mud’ fresh from the farm.

We think guests are going to love the scene which will remain a permanent feature here from today.
