A fundraiser from Gloucester who ran the length of Canada to raise money for charity has been sent a letter on behalf of Prince Harry.
Jamie McDonald arrives home after his 5000 mile run today. The letter said "His Royal Highness was very impressed with your appetite for pain."
Homecoming welcome for Jamie McDonald
Gloucester fundraiser Jamie McDonald will be welcomed back to the city later after his epic run across Canada. He started his five thousand mile run back in March, the first person to do it unaided.
He's due to visit the hospital that's benefited from his achievement and then everyone is invited to join him - in superhero costume - at 6 pm in King's Square for a final run to the Cathedral.

His epic journey, which began in March last year, ended in Vancouver late last night. Jamie has raised around one hundred and twenty thousand pounds for charity.
