Banksy mural stolen from Bataclan in Paris found in Italy

A Banksy mural which was stolen from the Bataclan music venue in Paris last year has been found by police in Italy.

The artwork, which depicts a young woman with a mournful expression, was created by the Bristol artist in June 2018 to commemorate those killed in the terror attack at the venue in 2015.

But six months later, in January 2019, [it was stolen by a group of thieves who used angle grinders](http://Banksy tribute to Paris terror attack victims stolen from the Bataclan) to remove it from the door it was painted on.

A police investigation was launched and now, 18 months later, officers have discovered its whereabouts.

According to reports, the missing mural was found in a farmhouse in the Abruzzo region of central Italy.

A press conference is set to be held explaining in further detail how it was found.
