Juvenile swan crash-lands on Bristol balcony before being rescued
A juvenile swan had to be rescued after crash-landing on the 6th floor of a Bristol city centre apartment.
It seems that the male cygnet's navigation system failed him as he tried to navigate the waterways in the harbourside, which are surrounded by tall residential and commercial buildings.
Luckily, an office worker spotted the stricken bird from the other side of the river and alerted the RSPCA.
The animal rescue and welfare charity managed to reach the confused young swan and move him out of his lofty pad unharmed, and quickly back onto the water where he belongs.
