Boardmasters: Kings of Leon, Skepta, The 1975 to headline Cornwall festival
More than 90 acts have been announced for Boardmasters 2020.
The festival, which is held at Newquay's Fistral Beach and Watergate Bay, has revealed that Kings of Leon, The 1975 and Skepta will headline this summer's edition.
Mercury Music Prize winner, Skepta, will headline on Friday, August 7th, while the multi-Grammy and BRIT Award winning Kings of Leon will headline the main stage on Saturday, August 8th.
The 1975, who have several chart-topping hits including TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME, Love If We Made It, The Sound and Me And You Together Song, will close Boardmasters 2020 on August 9.
A number of other world-renowned acts will also be performing on the Cornish Coast this summer, including Dizzee Rascal, Mura Masa, Sam Fender, Loyle Carner, The Kooks, DJ EZ, Camelphat, Damian “JR Gong” Marley, Andy C, Mabel, Lianne La Havas, Little Simz, Ocean Wisdom and more.
It's not just about the music, however. Boardmasters 2020 will also host a surfing competition that forms part of the World Surf League Qualifying Series, bringing internationally-recognised surfers to Fistral Beach.
On top of this, Boardmasters will continue its mission to keep the festival and the Cornish coastline clean.
Beach cleans, re-useable cup schemes, and a litter bond, will all be in place aiming to make the festival environmentally-friendly.
