'Everyhome should have one': jackdaw becomes local celebrity after setting up nest in Devon home

Jake the jackdaw has certainly nested in the hearts of Axminster couple Jamie and Adrian Lee.

The once-wild bird was taken in after he was viciously attacked by a seagull. The couple nursed him back to health and welcomed him into their home.

Now a solid member of the family, Jake has more than two thousand followers on his blog and is known by people as far away as Hawaii.

The adopted bird is now well attuned to the comforts of home life.

He is even a fan of ITV's Good Morning Britain and our very own Alex Beresford.

Life with the jackdaw has been described by the couple as "hectic" but they say every home should have one.

Our reporter Ben McGrail went to visit the feathery friend.
