Bristol man jailed for racially abusing and attacking police officers
A man has been jailed after attacking and racially abusing a police officer in Bristol.
Alexander Beckford, 45, pushed an on-duty police officer on 13 September 2019, leaving him needing hospital treatment for a knee and head injury.
Beckford was arrested where it happened - on Perry Street - before racially abusing a second officer.
He also kicked and tried to bite a third officer when he was in police custody.

He pleaded guilty to causing actual bodily harm, racial abuse and assaulting a police officer at Bristol Crown Court on 14 January.
He has been given a 60-week prison sentence and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £149.
