Man who died in Newlyn fishing boat incident is named by police

A man who died following an 'industrial incident' on board a boat in Newlyn has been named by the police.

Conor Moseley, aged 20, was pronounced dead at the scene after emergency crews were called to the harbour at about 4pm on Friday.

The man, an employee fishing business W Stevenson & Sons, of is said to have been "involved in a safety incident" at the harbour.

Footage from the scene on Friday afternoon showed numerous emergency services vehicles in attendance including the Cornwall Air Ambulance.

Penlee Lifeboat posted on its Facebook page that Newlyn "was rocked by the news that a local young man lost his life".

Newlyn Harbour Master Rob Parsons offered "sincere condolences" to the man's family and friends.
