Alex from Glasto meets Thiago Silva two months after THAT iconic performance

Alex from Glasto, the Somerset teenager who went viral after singing about Thiago Silva on stage at Glastonbury Festival, has finally met the player.

Alex Mann from Wells met the Paris Saint-Germain defender at Paris' Parc des Princes on Tuesday 27 August.

The teenager posted a photo to his 174,000 Twitter followers of Silva signing his PSG shirt with the caption: "Well that was an experience".

Alex became an internet sensation after singing with the rapper Dave on stage at Glastonbury Festival in June 2019.

Silva tweeted Alex after the performance and Alex's life hasn't been the same since.

The pair's spontaneous performance of Dave's 'Thiago Silva' led to the Wells teenager becoming an internet sensation.

In less than 24 hours Alex had racked up thousands of followers on social media and five million video views online.

The official BBC video of the performance has now been watched more than 23 million times.

As well as finding the time to complete his GCSEs earlier this year, the Somerset teenager released his debut single in July.
