The West Country superfan stunned thousands of festival-goers who had gathered at the Other Stage and is now going viral on social media.

In less than 24 hours the official BBC video has been watched more than five million times and he has attracted more than 13,000 followers on Twitter.

Thiago Silva, who plays for Paris Saint-Germain and Brazil, has also shared his reaction.

Thiago's not the only one, either.

Social media has been going crazy with people sharing their love for the Wells rapping sensation.

How did it happen?

During his set 21-year-old Dave said: "I've got this track called Thiago Silva, but you guys are too far away from me to even be able to see you."

He asked the crowd: "Who is sober enough to sing these lyrics along with me? I see a PSG shirt over there but do you know the lyrics?"

Dave spotted Alex on the shoulders of another festival-goer and said, "He looks like he knows the lyrics... yeah, let's take a chance, he's wearing a Thiago Silva shirt!"The excited fan from Wells was pulled onto the stage by a member of the festival's security team and told the crowd he was absolutely "buzzing".

Alex was met with cheers and chants from the thousands of people watching and has become one of the hottest highlights of Glastonbury 2019.
