Hundreds of cannabis plants worth £250,000 found inside North Somerset house

Police have seized more than 200 cannabis plants worth more than a quarter of a million pounds from a house in North Somerset.

Officers from the Portishead and Clevedon neighbourhood policing team were alerted to a strong smell on Tuesday 19 March and found the plants inside a house on Cadbury Camp Lane in Clapton in Gordano.

The cannabis factory was spread across every room on the first floor of the house with further rooms containing the drug on the ground floor.

More than 200 plants were seized by the police, totalling a street value of around £250,000.
