Nearly half a million pounds worth of cannabis found inside Cheltenham industrial unit

Nearly half a million pounds worth of cannabis has been seized by police following a raid on an industrial estate in Cheltenham.

Officers from Gloucestershire Constabulary found nearly 500 cannabis plants after executing a drugs warrant at a unit on Liddington Industrial Estate in Old Station Drive on Monday (January 28).

A further 100 plants were found at linked addresses, bringing the total street value up to £460,000.

Three men, aged 23, 57 and 63, and a 58-year-old woman, all from Cheltenham, were arrested on suspicion of drugs manufacturing in connection with the investigation.

“This meant that we could arrest the suspects before seizing the evidence and dismantling a sophisticated cannabis grow which could have generated a very significant amount of money that would have been ploughed back into further criminality.
