Somerset pub shutting after landslip
A West Somerset pub, left dangerously close to the edge of a cliff after a landslip earlier this year, is going to close.
The Blue Anchor, between Watchet and Minehead, has been open for around 500 years but will call last orders at the end of September.
There were hopes that the rock face could be protected, but the pub is still at risk of falling into the sea.
Landlady Cara Strom asked for help earlier this year but nothing happened.
West Somerset Council is the coastal protection authority.
It told ITV News that it had put in an unsuccessful bid to the Environment Agency to fund protection work.
