Police hunt wife and children of missing conman

Police hunting a fraudster who is accused of duping a Bath woman out of £850,000 have issued a photo of his wife in an effort to track him down.

Mark Acklom, who's 44, has been named one of the UK's most wanted fugitives and is the subject of a European Arrest Warrant. He is wanted by Avon and Somerset Police after Carolyn Woods, a woman he was in a relationship with, reported that she had conned him in 2013.

Police believe Mark Acklom is in Spain with his wife Maria Rodriguez and their two young daughters, aged 6 and 8.

The 47-year-old yoga teacher may be going by a number of aliases:

  • Yolianda Ross

  • Maria Long

  • Mary Moss

Mark Acklom was photographed by a member of the public in Geneva in Switzerland in May. He’s not been sighted since.

Police say the couple have previously set up property ventures in Europe. Mr Acklom is fluent in Spanish and other languages.
