Prescott Bike Festival: Eddie the Eagle turns out to support blood bikes charity
The crowds have been flocking to Prescott Bike Festival to see the weird and the wonderful machines on display.
The event near Cheltenham is in support of the Nationwide Association of Bloodbikes charity (NABB), and includes some of the more diverse displays of engineering - from rare, classic, modern, and customised to hand built bikes and those of historic significance.
Eddie the Eagle Edwards was among those who turned out in support of the charity.
Making its debut at the festival is what could well be the world's fastest hearse.
"Dead Quick", as its been called, is powered by jet engine and can reach speeds of over 200 miles per hour.
It's the brainchild of Matt McKeowen from Plymouth, who first found fame when he broke the world record for "fastest shopping trolley".
It comes as the local branch of Blood Bikes, the Severn Freewheelers, celebrates their tenth anniversary operating in the county.
Since 2007 the motorcycle based charity has provided a free delivery service to hospitals and medical centres throughout the county; moving medical supplies, blood and pathology samples.
