Rare pygmy hippo is now 6 months old

A rare pygmy hippo who was born at Bristol Zoo is 6 months old now.

Hugo was named after the zoo conducted a Facebook poll to find the most popular option.

Hugo was born to parents Sirana and Nato in the Zoo’s Hippo House last August, is said to be doing well and already has a strong personality.

His father died earlier this year after suffering long-term health problems.
