Swan shot with crossbow 'still critical'
Vale Wildlife Hospital says George the swan has made it through the night, but he is 'still critical'.
The swan was shot in the head with a crossbow on 24 January.
Fondly known as 'George', the bird is well known to the community by Pittville Park in Cheltenham.
He's currently being treated at the Vale Wildlife Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre, where vets say his condition is critical.
A reward of £1000 has been offered for any information leading to a successful prosecution.
Police are also appealing for witnesses.
