More than 50 knives handed in during week long amnesty
More than 50 knives have been handed in as part of Avon and Somerset's week-long knife amnesty.
The amnesty saw bins in which people could deposit knives placed in the front offices of main police stations and buildings.
The initiative was part of Operation Sceptre, a nationwide effort tackling knife crime using a range of different tactics including amnesty bins, education, targeted patrols of hotspot areas and test purchases.
A total of 59 blades were left in bins by the end of the week.
