Owner of the dog that fatally mauled a Jack Russell in front of 13-year-old owner comes forward

The owner of a Husky which attacked a Jack Russell in the village of Lypiatt near Stroud, Gloucestershire has come forward.

Police appealed for information after a Jack Russell was mauled by a Husky on 16 February in an area locally known as The Heavens. The young girl was walking her two pets when they were approached by two Huskies in the parkland, where one attacked the girl's Jack Russell.

The dog later died from its injuries.

Several members of the public came forward with information following the appeal, as well as the Husky’s owner.

Officers are now speaking her about what happened.
