A teenager murder victim has saved the lives of three people - as he signed up as an organ donor at the age of 16. The heartbroken family of Conner Marshall, 18, told how he put himself on the transplant list two years ago.

Conner was murdered in a case of mistaken identity when he was beaten by David Braddon late at night at the Trecco Bay Caravan Park in Porthcawl. Braddon was jailed for life.

Conner's parents revealed how they complied with his wishes for his organs to be transplanted after his life support was turned off.

A man's due to be sentenced after admitting murdering a teenager at a caravan park in Porthcawl.

David James Braddon, 26, from Caerphilly pleaded guilty to killing Conner Marshall in a court hearing last month.18-year-old Conner was found with serious injuries at Trecco Bay caravan park in the seaside town in the early hours of 8th March. He died in hospital four days later.

Braddon is due to appear in Cardiff Crown Court for sentencing later.

South Wales Police have thanked the local community in Barry and Porthcawl for their "support and patience" while investigating the murder of Conner Marshall.

"The community support has undoubtedly helped us to bring the person responsible for Conner’s murder to justice."

The man who admitted the murder - 26-year-old David James Braddon from Caerphilly - will be sentenced on June 3.

A man has appeared before magistrates in Bridgend charged with the murder of a teenager from Barry in the Vale of Glamorgan.

South Wales Police has charged a 26 year-old man with the murder of Conner Marshall.

The man from from Caerphilly will appear at Bridgend Magistrates Court on Monday.

18-year-old Conner died in hospital earlier this week after being seriously injured in an assault at Trecco Bay caravan park last Sunday.

I would like to reassure residents and visitors to Porthcawl and Trecco Bay caravan park that this appears to be an isolated incident on a well-managed site.

South Wales Police have made a renewed appeal for information after an assault at a Porthcawl holiday park that left an 18-year-old man fighting for his life.

Connor Marshall, from Barry, remains in intensive care at the University Hospital of Wales.

He was found on Sunday morning outside a caravan at the Trecco Bay site.

Police believe he was assaulted between 1am and 7am.

Man in 'life-threatening condition' after Porthcawl holiday park assault

South Wales Police say an 18-year-old man is currently in a 'life-threatening condition' after being assaulted at the Trecco Bay holiday park in Porthcawl.

The man, who is being treated at the University Hospital of Wales, was found outside a caravan.

Police were alerted at around 8am on Sunday morning, with the incident believed to have taken place from any time between late on the Saturday night until early on Sunday.

Anyone "who may have seen or heard anything suspicious" around the Cedars, Firs or Beeches areas in that time is asked to contact the police.
