A tiny beach hut in Abersoch has been sold after being put up for sale at an "unbelievable" £175,000 - the same price as houses in the area.

The wooden hut on Abersoch's Porth Mawr beach, which was first listed for sale this summer, has no mains electric and owners are not allowed to stay overnight.

The beach - and its famous shacks - has been known for its high prices at action in recent years with with the record standing at the £160,000 secured for a bathing hut in 2017.The average house price in Gwynedd is around £184,000, which is itself a major increase on 12 months ago.A sale is thought to have been agreed for the hut, but agent Beresford Adams would not comment on the eventual price tagThe Beresford Adams listing said: "The hut is a reasonably modern constructed hut (13 5 x 10 6) the main structure is built of modern materials, plastic coated sheeting with timber flooring and timber cladded internally with a changing cubicle, work top double base cupboards and double wall cupboard above."The hut is ready to use, just sit back and relax in a deck chair and embrace the sea air and marvel at the wonderful views across the Bay to St Tudwals Islands."
