Police investigating death of baby in Llanelli car crash appeal for CCTV footage of incident
Police investigating the death of a six-month-old baby in a car crash are appealing for anyone with CCTV of the incident or events leading to the incident to come forward.
Eva Maria Nichifor died after the collision involving a blue 3 series BMW and a blue Vauxhall Vectra at the Heol Goffa crossroads in Llanelli at around 9pm on Friday October 8.
Officers are asking those who might have CCTV or footage from doorbell cameras of the events leading up to the incident to contact them. They are interested in footage in the areas of the Eastgate car park, Andrew Street, Llanelli, and Corporation Avenue by the fire station.
Motorists with dashcam footage in these areas between 8.40pm and 9pm on the night of the collision are also asked to come forward.
Eva's parents Carmen and Florin paid tribute to their "perfect baby girl" after her death.
In a statement released by Dyfed Powys Police they said: "We are distraught by our loss. Eva Maria, only six months old, will be missed by us all.
“She was our miracle, our perfect baby girl, a gift from God. She will always be in our hearts.
“We would like to thank everyone for their support at this horrific time. It has meant so much to the whole family.
“We would now like time to grieve and would ask to be given privacy in which to do so.”
Mum Carmen, a healthcare assistant, said: “It took all the happiness. It destroyed my family.
“The house is empty without her. Our souls are burned on the inside.”
