'Heartbroken' family pay tribute to 'devoted mum' Jade Ward
The heartbroken family of 27-year-old Jade Ward have paid tribute to the "devoted mum who would do anything for her children".
The mother of four was found dead at a property in Shotton, Deeside on Thursday 26 August.
A Home Office pathologist has given the provisional cause of death as 'asphyxiation'.
Her ex-husband Russell Marsh has been charged with her murder and a trial date has been set for 21 March.
In a statement, Jade's family described her as "bubbly" and "popular" who cared deeply for her four boys.
"She was a devoted mum who would do anything for her children, a much-loved friend, daughter, sister, auntie, niece and granddaughter who will be hugely missed by us all.
“Jade always saw the good in everyone, she would put everyone before herself and loved animals – if ever she saw somebody even killing a fly, she would be angry at them."
Balloons were released for Jade, a Coop worker, near her home in Shotton over the weekend, as the community came together to remember Jade.
"She was a strong character, she had her own distinctive dress sense, she loved her clothes, and particularly her red lipstick!
“As a family we are beyond heartbroken to have lost Jade. She was the heart of the family and there for us all whenever we needed her.
"She was loved by everybody who had the privilege of knowing her and she will live on in all of our hearts forever.”
Detectives at North Wales Police are calling for anyone with information to get in touch as they continue to investigate the incident.
