Cardiff classical tenor performs opera songs to street during NHS clap for carers

A classical tenor from Cardiff performed his own operatic rendition of 'Calon Lân' to his street after everyone clapped for key workers on Thursday evening.

Trystan Griffiths from Grangetown in Cardiff says he had recently been forced to return home early from France where he was in the middle of an opera production that was cut short due to the pandemic.

Mr Griffiths says his wife and a neighbour then persuaded him to sing for people in the street and has been singing after the clap for carers for the last few weeks.

Trystan says the reaction has been "amazing" and says even people at the end of his street have been walking up to listen to his singing.
