One Gavin & Stacey star has revealed they will not be returning for the Christmas special
Gavin & Stacey is back for a Christmas special this year but not all the characters will be returning.
Sheridan Smith confirmed on BBC Radio 2's The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show that she is not involved in the special.
She played James Corden's character Smithy's sister Rudi in the series, appearing in seven episodes.
"I wish. No, I'm not going to be in it. I don't think anyway.'
Laughing, she says she could have done her rap again, referring to the famous scene where her and James Corden's characters rap Kanye West's American Boy.
The new episode, starring Mathew Horne and Joanna Page and created by Ruth Jones and James Corden, will be shown on BBC One this Christmas.
Fans were delighted by the announcement as cast members revealed the surprise.
Larry Lamb told This Morning that he was thrilled to be returning.
The series ended on New Year's Day 2010 and saw Stacey pregnant and Smithy living in Barry Island with Nessa and Baby Neil.
