France are due to host Wales in the first game of the tournament at 8pm GMT at the Stade de France.

Ex Wales Captain and pundit Sam Warburton was one of the passengers due to fly on the cancelled 09:30am flight from Cardiff Airport to Charles de Gaulle.

"I feel sorry for the fans who have paid money for tickets and accomodation and flights, who obviously won't get a lot of that back", he told ITV Wales.

"Hopefully they can find an alternative and get those Welsh voices in the Stade de France, because the boys will need them tonight!"

Warburton's former teammate and world player of the year Shane Williams also fell victim to the flight cancellations at Cardiff Airport.

Cardiff Airport is advising all passengers to check for live travel updates on their website.

Bristol Airport said all flights were cancelled until at least midday due to snow, including flights to Paris.
