Jobs created as Tredegar steel factory to re-open

Up to 40 steel jobs are to be initially created in Tredegar.

After weeks of unhappy headlines there was some good news for the steel industry in Wales with the announcement the former CaparoTubes factory in Blaenau Gwent is set to reopen in June - eight months after it closed.

New owners Liberty House - which is also bidding for Tata Steel UK's business - says 40 jobs will be created at Tredegar, with the hope of more to come.
